“Drink Pink” Mule – Breast Cancer Awareness
COPPER FOR A CAUSE
“Drink Pink” Mule
Let’s all toast the end of the week with a “Drink Pink” Mule — because who doesn’t want to enjoy a cocktail for a cause?
These days, it seems more common than not that you or someone you know has been affected by breast cancer in some way or another. In fact, 1 in every 8 people (yes, women AND men) are diagnosed with this terrible disease in his or her lifetime. It hits too close to home far too often — we know this from personal experience.
That’s why, in honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re proud to be partnering with Moscow Copper Co. and the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to help those affected by breast cancer.
The NBCF is a national organization that not only promotes breast cancer education and early detection, but provides support to those already dealing with this life-altering disease. Over 80% of NBCF’s funds go towards the various programs it provides, a remarkable (and generous) percentage compared to many other national non-profits.
We’re excited to announce that from now until October 31, half of all profits made from the sale of items on our sister company’s website, CopperForaCause.org, will be donated to NBCF. Additionally, Moscow Copper Co. has created a beautiful line of engraved Breast Cancer Awareness mugs that are available to purchase (while supplies last.)
For our part, we’ve created this special “Drink Pink” Mule to celebrate all those who have been impacted, whether directly or indirectly, by breast cancer. It’s a festive and tasty drink but, most importantly, it’s a tribute to all those who have fought, are fighting or will fight this disease during their lifetime.
This recipe is fun, easy to put together and, of course, it’s PINK! It has almost all the traditional makings of a Moscow Mule, with one fun twist. In lieu of the typical lime juice and simple syrup, we added refreshing pink lemonade, which turns out to be a perfect complement to the vodka and ginger beer. We also made sure to garnish it up with a lemon wheel and fresh mint (pink straw optional but highly recommended.)
The other great thing about our “Drink Pink” Mule is that it can easily be built using just a copper mug and a stir spoon. No fancy cocktail shaker required. It’s a cocktail that anyone can make and everyone will love.
Read on for the tasty recipe and be sure to visit our friends at MoscowCopper.com before the end of the month to make your donation and purchase a limited-edition Breast Cancer Awareness engraved copper mug!
