March 20 signified the first day of spring in 2017, and you know what that means…out with the old and in with the new!
By the time mid-March rolls around, we’ve made it through the potentially brutal and cold winter season, attempted to make headway on our New Year’s Resolutions, and realized what needs to change in order to create space for new things to grow and blossom.
We don’t just mean that figuratively.
Whether you have a green thumb or enjoy visiting your local farmer’s market for in-season fruits and vegetables, this is the time of year when gardens are beginning to look more bountiful and less bleak.
Why not utilize some of the available fresh produce to spruce up and add a twist to your Moscow Mules this spring?
One of our favorite ways to add a spring twist to your favorite Moscow Mule is to flavor your ice cubes.
Yep, you read that correctly!
Flavored ice cubes are an easy and fun DIY way to add new flavors to your Mule beverages and wow guests at your next party.
To get you started, we’re providing a few recipes to help liven up your cubes, as well as pairing suggestions with enticing Moscow Mule recipes included in ‘Mulehead’ The Moscow Mule Recipe Book.

The Science of Staying Cool
You’ve done the work to create delicious ice cubes, so you want to ensure your Moscow Mules stay cold for hours–which will be necessary as temperatures begin to heat up in the coming weeks.
However, if served in any old cocktail glass, your Mules won’t retain their refreshing temperature for long, as radiant heat will be absorbed from your hands and other sources of warmth.
The best way to serve your cocktails is with our Original Copper Moscow Mule Mugs. As soon as ice and alcohol are added in, the highly conductive copper will rapidly chill the beverage and enable it to retain its cool for hours.
Plus, it’s not just the temperature that will be improved—our copper mugs increase and retain the “fizz” and boldness of the cocktail flavor, whether it be an Original Moscow Mule or a variation of the drink.
