Derby Mule Recipe

Recipe:

  • 2 ounces Bulleit bourbon
  • 3/4 ounce lemon juice
  • 3/4 ounce cinnamon syrup
  • 1 dash Bitterman’s Elemekule Tiki bitters
  • 4-6 mint leaves
  • Maine Root ginger beer

Directions:

  1. Combine bourbon, lemon juice, cinnamon simple, bitters and mint leaves in shaker.
  2. Add ice and shake.
  3. Strain over crushed ice in mule mug.
  4. Fill with ginger beer, and garnish with a sprig of mint.

Inspiration:

This drink is a marriage of the Mint Julep and the Moscow Mule as a Kentucky Derby special. Two summer favorites in one!
