  • 2 ounces Jura Superstition single malt Scotch whisky
  • 1/2 ounce yuzu juice
  • 1/4 ounce simple syrup
  • Fever-Tree ginger ale, to top
  • Lemon peel, for garnish


  1. Shake the first three ingredients with ice, then pour into a copper mug, over ice.
  2. Top up with the ginger ale, and then garnish with lemon peel.


My inspiration was the Asian-themed venue where I work, and this culture’s tendency to strive for perfection. The name comes from a blend of the smokiness of the Scottish whisky, and the fact that the word “ass” was out of the question!
